检定:通常你只需在飞行状态下进行复杂动作时才会需要飞行检定。如果不进行检定,飞行中的生物 (只要它的飞行速度保持高于基础速度的一半) 可以持续飞行至本轮结束。你还能以消耗5尺的移动进行45度转弯、或以半速45度角上升、或以正常速度任意角度下降。不过注意,这些限制条件仅在你的当前轮生效。在下一轮开始时,你可以转向和之前一轮不同的方向而无需检定。除此之外,所有在飞行中的动作都需要进行飞行检定。检定DC取决于你打算进行何种动作,如下表。

撞击:如果你使用翅膀飞行,并在空中和另一个体型不小于你的物体相撞,你必须立刻进行DC 25的飞行检定,失败则直坠地面并受到坠落伤害。
免除坠落伤害:如果你正在坠落但是仍具有飞行能力,你可以进行DC 10的飞行检定以免除坠落伤害。不过,该能力不能免除失败的飞行检定或空中撞击造成的坠落伤害。
风力影响:强风会对你的飞行检定造成减值,具体见下表。“检定体型”表示该体型或者更小的生物只有在通过DC 20的飞行检定后才能在风力影响下飞行,“吹飞体型”表示如果该体型或者更小的生物若未能通过DC 25的飞行检定,就会被吹飞2d6×10尺并受到2d6点非致命伤害。只要该生物还保持在空中飞行,此检定就必须每轮进行,被吹飞的生物依然可以通过DC 20的飞行检定保持飞行,如同之前检定成功一般。
