"神谕显示Khorvaire即将迎来混乱的时代,虽然Mishaan女王顺利即位,但是她的三个兄弟姐妹们并未放弃对权力的渴望,我能看见战争不久将至,咳咳..."即使在生命的最后阶段,老人似乎也不忘对年轻人的教导.
"老师,您身体欠佳,还是好好休息,等您身体转好,再说不迟."

"自从神谕告诉我Khorvaire即将迎来战乱,老夫就一直试图寻找能够拯救世人的方法,我辛苦地修炼神术,但个人的力量有限,再强大的神术也只能治疗少数的人,若战争降临,必然需要更有效的手段,咳咳..."
老人看了看Ryan,继续说道,"我虽然穷尽一生,也未能有所突破,好在我已将毕生的经验都教导给你,Ryan,寻找救世方法的任务就交给你了,我相信你一定能找到的,咳咳...Ryan,你在山上待了这么些年,神术的技艺也已臻成熟,可
以下山游历了,但是世间多危险,你务必找到一些可以信赖的伙伴,才能够探索这个世界,咳咳..."
旁边的油灯缓缓燃尽,正如老人的生命力一点点逝去,老人又向Ryan交待了些后事,闭上了眼睛,再度缓缓睡去.
是夜,Ryan的养父兼授业恩师Stern病逝.Ryan虽然无比悲痛,却也未流一滴眼泪地埋葬了老师.因为他知道老师的遗志是条艰辛无比的道路,任何意志脆弱的人都会被淘汰,为此,他必须成为一个坚强的能独挡一方的人才行.
