I. What is Living Forgotten Realm?Living Forgotten Realms (or LFR for short) is a new regionalized RPGA Living campaign, and the first to utilize the new 4th Edition Dungeons & Dragons rules. Players create characters and assign them to a specific region. Characters can be played in any LFR adventure that supports their levels of play, anywhere. All non-special LFR adventures will be available for play no matter where you live in the world. As your character plays adventures, it earns experience points, gold, and magic items which stay with you from game to game. You can only play each adventure once, but with dozens of adventures available each year, there will be plenty of play opportunities.
II. How to participate as a player? You just need to play in any WOTC sanctioned LFR event, after the session, the DM will give you a member number and an activation code. Use that number and code to
www.thedci.com/activate to register as a member. After that, each time you play, you should present the number to the DM.
III. How to make a character? For this style of play, please follow the Living Forgotten Realms Character Creation guide. It is a 22-pt buy (method 2 in the player's handbook). You must choose a Forgotten Realms background (which gives you a bonus based on the region you select). Starting gold is 100.

II and take the DM test at
http://judge.wizards.com/, which will allow you to become a Herald Level DM. Then you create events on wizards.com, select private play, lfr, select day and which adventure(s) you want to run. Also, before you actually schedule it, you might want to sign up for the GM Rewards program, so you get special RPGA cards and materials.
